The Aztec people are an ancient civilization that prospered in what is now Mexico. The Aztec's controlled an entire empire in MesoAmerica. The aztecs lived in a swampy sort of land. This geography was especially hard for the people, but they found a way to prosper through countless inventions.
The Aztec traditions may seem peculiar to people of the present age but to the Aztec this was their meaning for life. The Aztecs were dominated by religion and lived in family groups. Most men farmed and lived with their families. the women cooked meals while the children wen to school at the age of 10.
The Aztec people were very religious. The Aztec's worshiped more than 1000 gods. The Aztec people were always performing sacrifices to please the gods. The aztec's people made these sacrafices so that the gods would bless them with crops and other nesscities. The aztec people were considered the people of the sun.
The social class of the aztecs were not very different of others at the time. The highest class of person was the chief . Then there were the nobles who were family or advisors to the chief. Nobles also included spiritual priests. The Intermediate people were less honored than the nobles, but they were considered higher than the commoners. The commoners were everyday people who were another piece of the puzzle so to speak. The aztecs like many others had slaves and they were the bottom of aztec society.

The aztecs found a way round it. The aztecs raised the garden beds on what were called chinimpals. Then after that the aztecs could plant and grow food to eat.
